A: Our weight really began to sky rocket to an extreme number and we both knew we had to do something. With both of us being over 400 lbs., we would found ourselves being limited to the things we could and could not do. For example: If we go to a restaurant we would call ahead of time if we had never been there before to see if they had regular chairs with no arms and if they did not we could not eat there because the shame of not being able to fit would be unbearable. Also, something as simple as tying our own shoes became a challenge, so this is why we had to go extreme because we were at extreme weights.
Q:
What are you all doing to lose the weight?
A: We both have tried lots of other diets and as you can tell they all failed, so now we are just doing it the good old fashion way, eating right and working out every day. So far it has worked out well for us.

Q:
What are your long term and short term goals?
A: Long term goals are to keep the weight off and eventually have babies. To have children is one of our most desired dreams but we have been told over and over again the reason for our infertility is because of our weight. Just to think that this weight is keeping us from becoming parents is heart breaking especially Cynthia since she is married. Short term goals would be to stay focused like I said before we have tried all kinds of stuff and never completed any of them whenever we would get tired we just quite, so I guess the main thing would be to stay strong, focused and determined. Our mission to reach 200lbs and lose at least 200lbs. in a year.
Q: Since you all have started this journey, have you noticed a change in the way you feel?
A: Of course, we feel so much better not just physical but spirituality as well. God is concerned about everything that concerns us including weight loss, so every time were feeling like we can’t go on anymore we pray to him and ask him to give us strength and it seems like out of nowhere we feel so much better, but on the physical side we find it a little easier to just get up and work out at first it was a battle for us to just walk for 5 minutes now we are up to 75 minutes on the treadmill, so that’s awesome!!!
Q: What is the meaning behind B.est F.riend F.itness? How did you all come up with such creative name?
A: Well if you did not know we are actually best friends and co- workers J We go through everything best friends go through so we were doing what comes naturally to best friends to help one another out and be that support system for each other. So it was just befitting that the name had something to do with best friends and we are getting fit hints the name Best Friend Fitness.
Q: Where do you see Best Friend Fitness in the next 5 years?
A: Doing BIG things spreading the love of Christ showing men,
women, boys, and girls that with help of God anything is possible even weight
loss, to be able to motivate people to say “Today I want to make a change a
live a healthier life” because of what they saw or heard about Best Friend
Fitness, and to be an example to those who may not think losing over 200 lbs. It
is possible. I guess to sum it up we would love for Best Friend Fitness to
become a house hold name and when people think about Best Friend Fitness they
get that boast of confidence they need to make it through that last ½ of a mile
at the track, because they remember “Where two or more are joined together
getting fit Best friend Fitness is in the mix!”A: Long term goals are to keep the weight off and eventually have babies.
