Meet Tierra Nicole

Tierra Nicole Stith, currently is a college student at Texas Southern University, and has been a Houstonian since 2005. She was born and raised on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and lived in Maryland for a few years. After her father retired from the United States Air Forces her family decided move back to Texas where they now reside. When she was in the 1st grade her mother decided she could no longer maintain Tierra’s natural nappy hair and had her best friend put a “kiddy” perm on Tierra’s hair. Throughout Tierra’s childhood and teenage years her hair never stayed healthy. She had a bad habit of always having her hands in her hair and suffered from hair breakage in different areas. She wasted tons of her money by going to the salon every two weeks and getting a relaxer or hair extensions glue in tracks, sew in weave, and quick weave styles. Tierra’s father Terry Stith convinced Tierra to save her money being because she is now a college student and try another way to style her hair that is money efficient. He suggested for Tierra to go natural.
April 28, 2011 Tierra decided to do the “big chop” after four months of transitioning. Going natural has been one of the BEST choices Tierra has made. Her natural journey has allowed her to embrace her natural curls, kinks, and beauty. She loves to give back and motivate people to join the natural community and embrace your inner beauty!

Tierra is very active in the natural hair community, she blogs, does product reviews, and provides resource and sources of inspiration to naturals. She loves to share her testimony and the source of strenght going natural brings. She is available for interviews, and speaking engagements.
